So what's unusual about this soundtrack song, or possibly unique?

It was one of the first Pomus / Shuman songs ever recorded by Elvis, and one of the best too. The climax of that artistic link between Elvis and this great songwriting duo was the 1961 single "(Marie's The Name) His Latest Flame" / "Little Sister", both songs being written by them. Lots of fans consider this release as the very best Elvis single of the 60s, and one of the best of his whole career, which is saying a lot.

The script called for his rendition to be interrupted by the guy playing the jukebox.
But, as it was possibly the best song in the whole darn piece, they didn't want to 'lose' any of it, so extended the song.

I was wrong.
The film version gets interrupted at 2:10 but the studio master runs to 3:10.
I'm at a loss now !
Perhaps they use the studio master, instead of a special 'soundtrack version' ?
