Songs with the background singers cut out, but yes, there would be lots more.

Wrong. You should have read the thread. I have supplied the reason why I have asked the question.

Yes, I ended up reading the thread after I posted. No worries.

It is very strange that there seems to be no pattern on this.

Perhaps with blu-Ray with the improvements with sound in that technology, most of the soundtracks will be in great stereo.

Could be, but one thing's for sure, I'm not buying all the movies again.

I have to say....I never did buy VHS but I watched them. Never owned them.

Then I owned DVD.

Now I am collecting blu-ray.

Blu-Ray is by far an upgrade.

I have re-bought and re-watched most of my movie favorites and blu ray is high definition and it's worth it.

the only 2 Elvis blu ray's I have so far are, Jailhouse Rock, and Love me tender. Both are excellant.

If you are willing to wait for 8K, then you may as well just wait for the unveiling of the beautiful 120K coming out in the year 2256.
It will a sight to behold.

No.

My understanding of things is that 4K is a stepping-stone to 8K.

And 8K represents the absolute limit.

The human eye & brain cannot detect any improvement above that.

So 120K won't be here in 2256, or ever.
