Thanks. I reckon that's Elvis pretending to be Orion!

Elvis was orion why do you think he wore the mask?

Could be. You never saw the two of them together.

Orion even wore the mask after the show.
Shelby Singleton, his manager, stayed close to him when interviewed.
The only information I could get out of Shelby Singleton is that (in 1981) the bootleggers had 32 minuten of 150 minutes of The Million Dollar Quartet.
Since a newspaper article stated titles that have never been released and have Johnny Cash on the photo, I think there are 1 or 2 tapes of 15 - 16 minutes each unreleased / missing / vanished / held back.

We may never know. There have been too many rumours about this.

I would say Singleton's words are not to be trusted. I remember that November 1978 "Billboard" article where he kinda stated that the recordings on the "Duets" album were genuine.

There's an interview with Kevan Budd, who did the mastering for the 2006 release of the MDQ recordings, where he explains that they worked with two, supposedly identical, sets of three tapes, one of the sets having belonged to Elvis. I would imagine those tapes were made by Sam Phillips, and they would include everything that was recorded that day. Maybe Kevan himself could add something of interest to the discussion.
