Yep! Without question, no other single individual (except maybe Elvis Presley himself?) was more influential in my growing as an Elvis fan than Jordan.

Cool, I'm sure he will see this.

A Tip o' the hat barely scratches the surface of gratitude - I'm sure I'm not the only fan whose Elvis world you opened up! THANK YOU! I'm glad I have the opportunity to say that finally.

Just listened to the entire episode - GREAT stuff!
Justin, when you mention the "kid in the candy store" scenerio - that's exactly what I was aiming to achieve at the time. As then, such releases weren't as easy to obtain as they are now (though still difficult). But now, we are in the era of Flacc and lossless formats.
I look forward to being a frequent listener to all your future broadcasts!

Second episode is up! Hope you enjoy - next week we'll be discussing the 1960 film G.I. Blues!

"This week Gurdip & Justin have candid discussions on Elvis' relevance in the digital age, remixes, what ETAs and cosplayers have in common, Gurdip laughs at how little Justin knows about football, and two well-known Elvis hits are our Songs of the Week!"

Episode three - this is the last episode I'll update on this thread unless folks want me to keep updating, I don't want to be obnoxious! We will still be putting out episodes every Tuesday! The show is going super well & the response we've had has been great! Thanks to everyone who's listening! Next week we'll be comparing/contrasting the 1979 Elvis biopic starring Kurt Russell and the 2005 Jonathan Rhys-Meyers miniseries!

"TCBCast Goes To The Movies! Gurdip & Justin tackle the 1960 rom-com G.I. Blues, but first react to the recently announced soundtrack tracklist for The Searcher documentary and later, Justin talks hearing Elvis' artistic process in session outtakes while two ballads make the cut as Songs of the Week."

I, for one, don't mind the updates here...even though I've bookmarked the podcast page. Hooked!

Hey everyone,

Real quick update on the show. We (me and my co-host Gurdip Ladhar) are now 17 episodes in on our Elvis fan podcast, TCBCast, and our topics have greatly expanded. We did a two-part review of The Searcher, including an interview with a young writer who had written a critical review of the doc and have covered more of Elvis' films, including Live A Little, Love A Little (comparing it to its source material, Kiss My Firm but Pliant Lips), and Kissin' Cousins, as well as other interesting topics.

This week's episode I really wanted to hop back on here and highlight because I think a lot of folks would enjoy it. Jamie Kelley is featured on this episode and it was a ton of fun with some really awesome insights that he brought to the table. Hope you all take a listen!

Hey all!

Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone at The Phoenix once again with a friendly reminder about the weekly podcast Gurdip Ladhar & I do. We're still kicking, at 43 episodes in! This week we're reviewing the documentary "The King" and the album "Glen Campbell Sings for the King." Next week will be a special episode on the 50th Annversary of Singer Presents Elvis, and the episode after will feature a very special interview guest and an in-depth discussion on the July 2, 1956 recording session.

Episode 60 - Just Call Us Lonesome

Justin is back! This week, Justin & Gurdip have news about the Million Dollar Quartet spin-off show "Heartbreak Hotel," Justin almost aces trivia and then for Song of the Week, Justin & Gurdip both pick songs of loneliness from early Elvis films in 1957 and 1961. Plus... April Fools!

Don't take yourself too seriously ;-)
