Saw him about five times LIVE and he's the best in the field of Rock-Country and Gospel.
I saw him just once, in 1985, as I mentioned elsewhere. I just remembered that in 1991 I saw his younger sister, Linda Gail Lewis performing live. I had heard some of the stuff she had done, both solo and as a duet singer with Jerry, and didn't think much of her really, so I was skeptical, but I must admit she knocked me out that night. Her repertoire was almost 100% full-tilt rock and roll, most of the songs being associated with her brother. Very very good show. Years later she recorded a duet album with Van Morrison, which was pretty cool, also filled with JLL references.
