Maybe the US release was in 1976...

Talking of errors, I got the title of the UK album correct: The Elvis Presley Sun Collection...

Yes you did.

His name was Charles Dickens, not Charles Dicken, hence the apostrophe was in the wrong place.

Those TV subtitles sometimes go wrong !

Daley Thompson's words are in blue - what do you think he actually said there ?

Time for a mini quiz in the Spot the Error thread:

In the World Athletics Championships 2017 being broadcast live by the BBC, presenter Gaby Logan had to issue an on-air apology
for a word spoken by US athlete Kori Carter [explaining her love of squirrels] which 'might have upset UK viewers'.

Gaby went on to explain that, in the US, it meant 'excitement, over-exhuberance & enthusiasm" but was considered offensive in the UK.

What was the word ?

No takers ?

OK - Daley was discussing how athlete Eilish McColgan could get coaching from her famous mother, Liz.

He said she would be a 'tough task master, I expect' !

Not sure if there's a human involved in writing the subtitles, or they are simply electronically generated.

Either way, the results seem to go awry quite often...
