I thought I would hate it, but I am intrigued. Looks nothing like Elvis though.

I am the first to laugh at things. Not this time, for me, the excerpt in this trailer portrays Elvis as someone he wasn't.

They needed someone, physically, more like Elvis too. Johnny Depp would have been one thousand times better.

Pity Ricky Martin isn't an actor, his jawline, the way he moves, would have been closest.

Quotes from people involved in, "Elvis & Nixon"

The movie is most definitely made by fans of Elvis. Joey Sagal and everyone involved are fans. Joey's dad was very close to Elvis and directed him in some of the movies. They would never do anything to hurt Elvis. They went with Michael to play Elvis in order to get funding for the film. He's a great actor! Give it a chance...or don't.

Joey Sagal says that Elvis & Nixon in "NYC has been picked as the centerpiece film at this years Tribeca Film Fest for it's world premiere." Coming to a theater near you April 22!

They went with Michael (Shannon) in order to get funding for the film. He's a great actor! There's tremendous interest in the film.

Joey Sagal says, "Fun scene directed by my Dad the great Boris Sagal!!! He loved working with Elvis and Elvis loved working with him! Elvis has been very good to my family!" ‪#‎Elvisandnixon‬ Joey is the cowriter of Elvis and Nixon coming April 22.

"Elvis & Nixon" is an upcoming American comedy-drama film directed by Liza Johnson and written by Joey Sagal, Hanala Sagal, and Cary Elwes.

Joey Sagal is the son of Boris Sagal who directed the above clip, "You'll be Gone" from "Girl Happy".

Eric Bana was originally signed to play Elvis in the new Elvis and Nixon movie but dropped out when the project was put on hold for a while to rework the script.

In my opinion, Eric Bana is an excellent Australian actor, he morphs into the character, what a shame that it didn't work out with Eric.

Actually the song clip is Elvis singing 'I've Got To Find My Baby".

'You'll Be Gone' wasn't featured in any of his films.

Thanks, Brian.

I guess the movie should be given a go - the movie appears disrespectful and one dimensional, one of those, "May watch a little and see....maybe".

watched the movie with an open mind. I really enjoyed it. Although Michael Shannon looks nothing like Elvis, you move past that and just enjoy it somehow.
