The song was written for the movie Girls girls girls (Blackwell-Scott) – although it was Colonel Parker's favorite it was rejected in the pre-selection.

I wonder how parker reacted to that.
Colonel Parker wasn't interested how a movie was made; that Hollywood's business. Colonel Parker was interested in good financial deals with a lot of money. $$$$.

Very sad really, A good manager would have been interested in seeing the other business side of things..
In one way Colonel Parker was a good manager/businessman and made the best deals everywhere for Elvis. On the other hand the trics and behaviour of Colone Parker were not good for Elvis' career. But you can't blame Colonel Parker for everything what went wrong in Elvis' career. Elvis was "too lazy" to arrange his own career as long as the money came in by millions.

I agree C Snow, I have read many books over the years and piecing information together from these books elvis was part to blame, He should have been more vocal in touring europe. I think it would have been a great stepping stone for him and maybe helped him on the road to a better recovery from his addications, Instead it ened up with his demise.
