Where is Mike Edwards now?

Mike Edwards is still alive and is 80 years old. He recently put out a statement denying Lisa’s charges in her book and also saying that what was in his book about his attraction to a pre-teen or teen Lisa was embellished and exaggerated because the publisher encouraged him to embellish it to sell more copies.

1. She said what she said before, because it was intended as such purely for public consumption at the time. Maybe later (book) was the actual truth.
(I think the book is definitely embellished to sell more copies and one example has already been pointed out earlier in this thread.)
2. Maybe Lisa's brain/memory has been "influenced" (more bluntly put, .... fried) by various/previous drugs/medication use (i.e., unreliable).
(Sorry, if harsh, but it is what it is. Lisa even admits to hard drug abuse in her book.)
3. Maybe both/all the above are at play.

----------------------------

One thing is for sure, in my opinion, after having read her book. It/she has no depth. (I understand that the book was probably written in haste . . . . i.e., an early unfinished pre-draft, etc., ..... but still .......

I am sorry, but I just don't care about the Lisa stuff, and even much less so the Riley stuff.

-----------------------------

The book was a quick and easy (meaning simple) read and (unfortunately) added very little to what we already know about our main guy.
(If one is into Priscilla or Lisa, then it added "more", of course. It was sad and like I said before, it reads more like a catharsis for both of the authors.)

I agree. Lisa comes off shallow, spoiled and kind of a simpleton. Part of the problem is she was in the very preliminary phase of writing this book so it wasn’t anywhere near being completed. She had likely already been paid for it or had received a large advance and the publisher was maybe asking for the money back or deliver a book.

The other problem is at the time of recording her stories for the book she was at a low point with her mother with their up and down relationship. So in her recordings she was throwing her mother under the bus. But had she lived to put the book together to its completion, I wonder if she would have actually kept that in about her mother?

And all that makes sense...because if Mike is denying these things, it turns into a he said/ she said type of thing and there is no
physical proof that any crime occured. (But I do believe her).
So, if she down played it when she was young, it would be because she didn't want to get sued.
Now that Lisa isn't around to get sued, the book can be released. I suppose now the publisher could get sued though.

i don't believe any of this. you'd think both author and publisher would be wary of lawsuits before publishing, esp for an audience as big as the elvis fanbase. edwards would sue to protect his reputation and family if his pedo acts were untrue.

OK, i'm only now reading the rest of this thread and what the heck! you know someone who was at graceland when elvis supposedly died?!! i don't believe ginger at all. according to the book, ginger was "dressed to the nines" before finding elvis. usually, the first thing i do when i wake up is pee. are they trying to make us believe she didn't pee that whooole morning before phoning her mom then dressing to the nines?? did she not even wash her face before putting on makeup? i'm not buying it.

Why would you listen to the publisher knowing at some point down the line this would rear it's ugly face? Just to get a few quid. I believe everything lisa told in her book. What reason would she have to lie.

Lisa has always been brutally honest so there's no reason not to believe her. Priscilla failed to protect Lisa from her predator boyfriend. And now Priscilla is out there laughing off the things Lisa stated in her book.

I think we all know her boyfriend at the time admitted to liking Lisa in his book. Why would cilla say this? Her little laugh is telling.

Thanks for sharing Judith.

I believe her she actually referred to it in an interview. She had lost her Daddy and was left with a mother who really didn't want her. There was a reason she took Priscilla out of her will and she was right to do so. Four days after her funeral Priscilla contests the will.

It is very telling ...... (@ 1:40 minutes ~)
She (Priscilla) literally also says ... "my daughter" ... "she was a ......" "big, big, ...... big heart" ..... "ya know, she would come out and say what she felt at the moment" ..... "and then she'll regret it" ...... (laughing).

(I get the feeling that Priscilla was about to say something else, before she stopped herself and then said "big, big, ...... big heart" instead. She even puts her left hand up to literally stop herself from saying something else.) It also suggests that Priscilla has either now read the book or at the very least has been told what's in it. *She's playing coy/innocent.

I believe Lisa and I think Priscilla is gaslighting.
(*Also, notice the nervous smile by the person standing next to her when she is asked about Lisa's book. Minute 1:25 ~)

I believe the delightful chap with her is Navarone who seems to be the only one she cares about.

Yes, that's Navarone. She actually says: "My daughter, I love her to death".....
The interesting bit starts at 1.25

Gaslighting your own daughter who has passed, is horrifyingly unbelievable.
There is no greater display of a person's malignancy and toxicity than that.

(General statement: others are of course free to disagree, but . . . . IMO, that pretty much - clearly - says it all. )

I don’t know this but it was reported that she had been on the outs with her mother, the she didn’t want to have to sit with her at the Golden Globe awards. There had been stories for the last several years that Lisa was not happy with Priscilla allowing Michael Lockwood to see his daughters when they were in Priscilla’s custody, when they were taken away from Lisa because of her ongoing drug addiction problems. The divorce with Lockwood was particularly nasty with Lisa accusing him of having child porn on his computer. The authorities confiscated all of Lockwood’s divines and no child porn was found. And you can’t just delete stuff from computers. Had it really been there, they would have found it.

This is my opinion and I could be spectacularly wrong because I am not a psychologist but I think Lisa had Borderline Personality Disorder. I have some experience with it because I have a female cousin who has this and many of Lisa’s behaviors mirror my cousin’s. I can’t really articulate what Borderline is very well but if you look it up and match it to what you read in Lisa’s book, I can see a correlation. And it could correlate with both her relationship with her mother and what she said about Edwards.

Just finished the audiobook.

Nothing of any great substance, IMO. As others have suggested, Lisa seems to have been a spoilt brat.

Did enjoy Julia Roberts narration.
