Maybe it's just me, but somehow the action sequences of the show don't really fit the "peace and understanding" message of the song...

I've watched the first two episodes.

Whilst I'm not against Elvis being "cartoonised", this show is a let down for me. I'm sure it will be a hit, but, it's full of extreme violence, bad language, the glorification of drug taking, and the suggestion of bestiality.

Does it mock Elvis? Not overly, yet. He's the hero and he does heroic things, but he also shoots up televisions.

I doubt that his vision of being the hero of the comic book would be quite like this.

As for Priscilla, surely she knew what the content would be. It's almost like she's getting a bit of revenge for something.

Trivialising Elvis, once again. Nothing new. It's been happening since he left Sun, countless times.

To reach as many people as possible, at any price.

Was Elvis an artist, or was he a product ? A long-time Elvis fan, and ex-Phoenix member, once told me he was a product, so that's where we start from.

We get what we deserve, folks.

They haven't yet touched on incest or paedophilia, but there's time yet. Maybe scenes from Kissin' Cousins and Harem Holiday will do it.

I watched two episodes, not perfect but I still had a lot of fun with it.
