Colin B wrote:Don't condemn Ernst & Roger too hastily.
I reckon they are Elvis supporters & would like to do the best they can for other fans.
But they work for a commercial company which wants to squeeze maximum profit out of the product.
This leads to them having to do things [like holding back the flip sides of the acetates] that satisfy their employer's financial needs,
even if this is sometimes annoying [& expensive] for the rest of us.
For clarity, here are the release dates for the 4 acetate sides:
____________________________________________________________________
My Happiness
On 1990 album: Great Performances.
the flipside:
That's When Your Heartaches Begin
On 1992 5-CD set: The Complete 50's Masters - The King of Rock 'n' Roll
____________________________________________________________________
I'll Never Stand in Your Way
On 1997 4-CD set: Platinum - A Life in Music
The flipside:
[It Won't Seem the Same] Without You
On 1999 2-CD set: Sunrise

Can't see any logic in the 2 year gaps between sides of the same acetates apart from commercial greed...
