Can anyone explain what is 'seasonal' about Peace in the Valley ?

It's not really seasonal, it's a gospel song, but somebody must have thought that the four January 1957 gospel recordings had a place inside the Christmas album.

I bet most people who purchased that LP in 1957 had already purchased a copy of the gospel EP, so they were getting only eight new songs, instead of twelve.

That's the main reason.

Yes agreed, he didn't record enough Xmas songs in 1957 to fill an album, so they added the four gospel songs he'd already done.

Unfortunately, they've found their way onto many variations of the Xmas album ever since !

But the way the presenter specifically mentions the 'seasonal' Peace in the Valley track, & even plays a snatch of it, is kinda incongruous !

It's been speculated that at the time the video was made that the album had not yet been pressed and, therefore, the Christmas songs were not available, although obviously, the track listing was available as well as the Peace In The Valley EP. It appears that the LP is a prop, notice the difference in the lettering.
