Watching PBS Documentary, "The Seven Ages of Elvis"

Postby cadillac-elvis » Fri Mar 10, 2023 5:23 am

I have been watching this over the last hour or so.
Not a bad documentary, but as everyone knows....there's been so many of these things.
I did learn he sang "Amazing Grace" in 1968.
And a few other tidbits.

I remember watching this when it was broadcast on SkyArts in the UK. Don't remember too much about it, but I don't feel there is any need for any more of these. Channel 5 did one a while back where an Elvis "Expert" said "Wild in the country failed because it was in black and white" and they talked about "the grammy..." despite Elvis winning 3 of them. For me the facts matter, its simply a mark of respect for the subject. A simple google search corrects their facts so they are inexcusable, so I usually give these TV documentaries a wide berth.
"Man, I just work here..."
