Hard pass for me. Tired of that many 76 shows.

one of my favorite tracks is #18, "introductions continued".
I always set this for repeat play.

Despite the rare Return to Sender, Aug 1 was not a good show.

Yes, it's really hard to listen to him struggling through this concert, he's clearly not feeling well and ironically the excellent sound makes it even worse, cause there's nothing to hide... Surely a quite controversial decision to release something like this officially - even it's a special collector's label.

According to Sid Shaw on EIN, probably "the worst Elvis photo" of all time was taken at this show, too:

To be honest, I have seen much worse pictures of him that I would like to delete forever off of my mind and actually find this "funny face" shot quite amusing... So it's a pity that FTD didn't dare to choose it as front cover shot, in the sense of a disarmingly self-ironic answer to all the expected critical comments on their latest concert box set.
[Don't take the last sentence to serious, I'm just kidding here ;)]

It’s not as good as #17 on disc one though.
That’s my go to for repeat.

This is a tough one and I won't be playing these concerts very often, but I'm always gonna get new EP shows, no matter what. FTD still offers good value for money, despite the numerous complaints.

I was fine with this release. It featured shows which I had not heard previously. Maybe I am a fan who is not hard to please, but I sat back and accepted the shows and enjoyed them. Always appreciate these FTD releases....., regardless of the year of Elvis' career represented on the disk....,

But do the shows run at the correct speed?

More importantly, does Elvis run at the right speed?

Don't really need to hear any more '76 shows, especially this one. Elvis is not well at all in this show. I don't think it should have been released.

IMHO this is a good release from FTD. Each show taken on its own, is entertaining. The August 1st show, Elvis voice does sound weak, but we do get a rare rendition of "Return to Sender." The other shows feature good interaction between the entertainer and the fans and feature good performances. I grateful that FTD made these three shows available to us fans. I am one fan that does not mind Elvis' 1976 performances.

Just to be clear, my comments were mainly directed towards the specific concert featuring "Return To Sender."

Elvis clearly sounds unwell.

All three CDs are on youtube. I've listened to a couple of snippets, but not downloaded them. The poor guy sounds awful.
