Rock 'n' Roll No 1 Mono ll Stereo

Postby John » Sat Oct 07, 2023 10:42 pm

This will be with us in just over a week, and it's fantastic.

And....I've heard a track from probably the next but one project, which won't be out till sometime next year I guess, and it is so good that it's spine chilling. You can hear so much detail that you cannot hear on the mono recording, which sounds flat in comparison. I wish I could share it with you, but I can't.

I can't wait for that release. In the meantime I'll be digging Rock 'n' Roll No 1 in STEREO.

i'm glad to see Anthony Stuchbury is reaching his potential in the audio field.
it takes a lot of time and patience to learn your craft. As the old saying goes don't run before you can walk
And now it's finally paying off for him.I personally like the sun mono to stereo CD and this new one.
"Don't tell me to play it. I will when I get ready. Do you understand me?"

I have to say, I’m hearing things on these recordings I haven’t heard before, and, Bill Black has been hidden too long. Some of his bass work is stunning.

I think Bill Blacks kudos should be on the same level as that of Scotty Moore.
Such a shame he passed so young and that we never got to hear his side of the story.

Ever curious what Ernst has to say on mono to stereo?

Ernst 7th October 2023.mp3

He has heard some that are really good.
Consider where he is speaking earlier this month it is not difficult to assume the ones he is talking about.

Here's a superb review by Piers Beagley on the wonderful Elvis Information Network. I couldn't have put it better, he completely echoes my thoughts on this release. In a nutshell, you can hear the instruments. You can hear Elvis more clearly. The work done on these tracks by Anthony Stuchbury, is brilliant.

This is a little gem done with passion and love.
Great track-list and the sound is really fine.
Also the liner notes are excellent.
