All over the Girl Happy sessions, love this record so really looking forward to this, same with the Last Tours 2. Volume 01 was good so have decent hopes for no.2. Well played FTD ending the year (announcement wise lol) on a high.

Girl Happy the original album? I think not.
The original album included the bonus track ‘You’ll Be Gone’.
If they can include a master from another session and movie, track 18, why not keep the original album intact too ?

I think FTD is over the original album concept. Hopefully.

And sessions is taking over.

Perhaps they found some evidence concerning the track, "I feel I've known you forever", as it's always been a mystery where it came from

The movie take is not on the Sessions takes anywhere.

So, maybe they found paperwork concerning this Tickle me take, and perhaps it in fact came from this session??

There was no Tickle me album since it was a bunch of old songs, so no need for a Tickle me sessions album set.

This might be the only place this track could go.

We already have the You'll be gone sessions elsewhere.

Concerning the movie take of "I feel that I....".
They used the backing track from the original Pot Luck session master and Elvis rerecorded his vocal for "Tickle Me" in 1964 (over the original backing track master as on the Pot Luck LP).

I will definitely get "Girl Happy".
King Creole is tempting, but I didn't bought any FTD book so far, so I will get over the pain of not buying.

I guess these are the shortened album versions in Stereo and not the unedited Masters? Otherwise it would have not made sense to release unedited masters from acetate on CD 1?!

I see your point, but Ersnt in this era is not a very consistant individual concerning the product he puts out.
There are many many inconsistancies over the years. This is a minor one to me.

On another note, I am surprised he skipped up to Girl Happy.

We still haven't gotten Flaming star, Follow that Dream, It happened at the world's fair, or Girls girls girls on sessions sets,
and I was expecting the next soundtrack to be one of those 4, although, I don't think they have the tapes for Girls girls girls.

My wish is that they combined Flaming star with Follow that dream as a double feature sessions set.
