(Ironically) The pictures they are using for the covers (Vol. 1, 2 of this series) aptly reflect Elvis' true condition (some of the content/singing) on the CDs. There are better pictures available though. (I don't think their selection was intentional, however. More likely, just more haphazardness from FTD.)
PS: Not complaining, (I'll get Vol. 2) .... but Vol. 2 sure is coming out QUICKLY! (What's the rush?) I am still listening to Vol. 1 (LOL!)
I guess they aren't doing anything different from the bootleggers then, and fans have come to expect photos that reflect the contents of the discs, with the old RCA approach from the last years of Elvis' career now a thing of the past.
It's still seems a bit strange that they went to great lengths to manipulate a 1976 image though, when they are happy to publish unflattering shots from 1977...
