I got mixed feelings about Tunzi (mainly because of his books), but it is interesting to see and listen to him (I often ? don't agree with him though (e.g., The Col. / e.g., what he tried to do with the Elvis Ottawa photos). Very much enjoy Robert's shows and am glad he has a YouTube channel (back in those early days, I wondered where those Presleyana prices came from).

Tunzi seems like a decent guy. He contacted me years ago when he was researching the Notre Dame concerts in South Bend. The people at the archives in the university gave him my phone number. He asked about my memories of the concert and stuff like that. He talked about listening to the soundboards of the concerts which I found really interesting. I ended up sending him some photos. The photos inside the gatefold of the FTD Dragonheart with Elvis and the local police came from me. My sister knew the person that took the pics and she had given them to me when I was just a kid. Tunzi sent me a bunch of books later. Fun times back then.

That's cool info. Jak. I own the Dragonheart FTD. Cool pics too!
Thanks (to you, your sister, and those who took the pic.) for your contributions to the Elvis World and fandom.

The Notre Dame archives contacted me years ago about any photos I may have from his concerts at Notre Dame. They told me that somebody had stolen every single image they had of Elvis in South Bend. I sent them a lot of photos my wife took. When you enter the Joyce Arena you will see one of my wife’s photos displayed from his last concert in South Bend from Oct 1976. I didn’t know it was there until somebody sent me a pic. I don’t know if people today can understand how big of a deal it was back then when Elvis came to you’re town. I heard so many stories from coworkers and fans about those concerts and seeing Elvis around town. An Elvis concert was truly an event and it left a lasting impression on many people.

It just aired:

I watched it. It was pretty good. Their friendship shines through too. (Friends thru Collecting The King ;) )

One interesting note from the show: Bonja and Tunzi have differing versions of what went on with the Elvis album covers artwork though. Interesting.
