Inspired by OnStage55's topic on Aaron Schroeder, here's a link to Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller's 1958 appearance on "What's My Line?", a similar TV show.
This was aired on Sunday, March 9, 1958 (CBS), just as one of their compositions. "Don't", was riding high on the charts as sung by Elvis.
Unfortunately, Jerry and Mike had to deal with the condescension of most of the present characters, especially coming from the disgusting Dorothy Kilgallen, gossip journalist and Johnnie Ray girlfriend.
This "incident" is even mentioned in "Hound Dog", their 2009 autobiography :
