Memphis Recording Service will release a Limited Edition 5CD/200-page book ‘THE COMPLETE ‘50s MOVIE MASTERS AND SESSION RECORDINGS’ on May 4th, 2018.

This Limited Edition 5CD/Book set pays tribute to Elvis Presley’s complete music recordings made for his movies during the 1950s.

The 5 CDs contain the complete works of the master and session studio recordings made for each of Elvis’s movies during the 1950s, and all tracks have been remastered with many restoration surprises ignored by other labels.

The 200-page book focuses on each of the recording sessions held for the four motion pictures made between August 1956 and March 1958. The comprehensive text is complemented by rare and previously unseen photographs and documentation.

track 2411 - Jailhouse rock with piano intro / long extended version (clip on Youtube).
On the FTD Jailhouse rock you'll find movie version edits.

Loving you - one binaural version with take 22 is listed>>>>> take 22 doesn't excists and there are more binaural versions released by FTD.
Some acetate versions are not included.
Without doubt it's great release but as far as I can see in a quick view there's nothing new.

With track 2024 - Jailhouse rock - alternate master I meant the version with extra backing vocals (No take 5). Crawfish (movie version) was released on CD Elvis Original Film Music vol. 3 and others.

Jailhouse rock - movie version with piano intro track 2019 take 1 is available on this acetate.

Jailhouse Rock alternate master is there... with orchestral movie overdubs included. I'm guessing timing and sequencing determined one or the other.
That 'Jailhouse' acetate looks nice! Has it been released anywhere?

Something doesn't sound right on that, maybe it's just the 'tagged on' by MGM piano intro, it has a different sonic quality compared to the rest of the song.
Not essential to me, I can live without it.

Thanks for the heads up on this forth coming release from "Memphis Recording Service" Tony....

As with All of The MRS Releases (in my opinion)the main reason why most of us get their Elvis Product is due to their great ideas, great quality and very collectable Elvis Products'...

This latest release by MRS will be no exception to that rule....

There does appear to be a few things new here. For this release...but even if there wasn't, this
"Memphis Recording Service" release would still be worth having in one's collection for most...
(It just becomes the fun part of the reason to collect, in my opinion)
