Just checked out my 'Too Much Monkey Business' FTD: the intro of 'Lovin' Arms' has an extra loop that was not on the original master. Does that mean FTD used a different edit/mix for their cd release?

Thank you Juan. It's my favourite post 1977 session to listen to. All outtakes are appreciated.

Thank you again for your generosity, Juan Luis, my friend.

Interesting outtakes - especially the Jerry Reed 'Guitar Man' tracks, considering his important contributions to the original 1967 sessions.

Someone's put together a super vid with top notch editing equipment and uploaded Juan Luis song.

I like this one but can understand some fans not exactly warming to Jerry Reed's voice or music and the lighthearted approach to singing. Thanks again J.L.

SJ - The version of Blue Suede Shoes - is it a live version or the studio cut?

GK - Studio.

The version of "Blue Suede Shoes" on the FTD Too Much Monkey Business is of course taken from a live August 1969 recording.

If the Carl Perkins duet version is from a "studio" source (as GK stated), I'm guessing it's the 1960 recording from G.I. Blues.
I'm happy to be an Elvis fan! 8-)

It was the live cut from August 1969.

This is getting confusing.

We know the released version with Carl Perkins adding just his guitar sounds, is the live cut from Vegas - 25th August, 1969, Midnight Show, but we only know about a vocal duet version from George Klein - & he says the Elvis recording is a studio one...

I just think G.K remembers it wrong,it wouldnt be the first time as his memory have always been a little sketcy when it comes to Elvis info that involves recordings and dates.
