Documents posted below are also available on Keith Flynn's website:

Letter dated November 14, 1961 from RCA vice president Bill Bullock to Colonel Tom Parker.

Bill Bullock suggested a ‘double feature LP’:

“Harry Jenkins and the fellows are working on their 1962 plans and would like to know what our tentative LP plans are so as to provide for special treatment on Presley product. As a suggestion only, let me give you the following for what it is worth. Make a double feature LP along the lines of the enclosed sketch. You can tell right off that I am not an art director!”

Both Follow That Dream and Kid Galahad were scheduled to be released within a few months of one another, thus Bill’s suggestion to make this double feature LP. The letter ends with Bill’s request to “Kick this around and let me know what you think.”

History tells us that the Colonel was not behind this idea, since a double album was not made, but two extended play records instead, one for each film.

The two original concept sketches for a double feature LP Kid Galahad / Follow That Dream:

When Walter Gulick [Elvis] & Rose Grogan [Joan Blackman] call on Father Higgins [Liam Redmond]
to arrange their marriage, Walter hands him his Baptismal Certificate.

When the priest asks where he was baptised, Walter replies "Here"

Father Higgins is somewhat taken aback by this.

"No, you misunderstand me, sir, I asked where were you Baptised ?"

"Yes I know" is Walter's reply "right here in Cream Valley !"

"I don't get it !"
is the priest's response.

He hangs on to the certificate, saying he'll have to check it with the records.

The certificate is never mentioned again, but I'm sure there must have been an abandoned part of the plot when some
snag is discovered putting their wedding in doubt !

Question for colonel snow:

Is there an early version of the script which might include it ?

Thanks !

I've read through it, but it doesn't support my theory...
