Topics merged. It’s nice to have all this info together. Through the years some info is repeated, but that’s no problem! Interesting info is worth to be read and re-read. Many thanks, Colonel.

I agree; it's good to have all information on one spot. Moving topics is a moderator's job.
May be it's an idea to divide this section in groups of letters A - G / H - M / N - S / T - Z?
It's easier to find a song in that way.

That’s a good idea, imo. Thanks for your suggestion! I’ll try to figure out a way to do that (or something similar). I’ll discuss it with the team.

Down the pub?

Actually it's a good idea and most songs should fit under one of the letters.

Too many repeated images and duplicated information, for my taste. As it is now, the thread becomes almost unreadable and boring, in my opinion.

Maybe it would be better to post links to similar topics instead of merging them.

I'm about to start the antimergingphoenixsociety. :)

I agree. If the topics were similar, but not the same, I wouldn’t have merged them. But in this case, we had 3x ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight’ in First In Line. I understand your point about repetition though.

The alternatives?

I can un-merge them again. And then we’ll have 3x ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight’ in First In Line again.

Or we keep them merged. Technically speaking, I could delete (double) posts with the same info. But it’s not my call to do that, imo. Except when the poster requests me to do so.

Anyway, as Colonel Snow started most of the posts in ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight’ (First In Line), I’d suggest we’ll leave it up to him to decide.

I know you guys have good intentions, and it all makes sense in theory, but I can't help feeling bad most of the times that topics are merged. It's just my opinion, of course.

You have my permission to delete my posts in this merged thread with duplicate information - the ones with the ad from "The Billboard" - if you decide to keep them merged. Let's see what colonel says, anyway.

Thanks for your efforts. :)

That would be helpful in this section in order to avoid starting a thread about a song that's already been covered, so I agree about this suggestion.

OK.

That's not the right spelling of 'mistake'...
