Maybe we should have a kind of behind closed doors section for tales about our exes.
You never know, they might be looking in.

Ha ha ha !

They might even be members posting under aliases !

Not my ex. She'd be arguing with everyone by now and throwing worthless opinions around.

I liked looking at that sleeve and trying to identify all the small photos. If I'm not mistaken, all of them were taken from "Legendary Performer" booklets.

By the way, the Spanish issue was not pink vinyl, but black vinyl.

Really, this compilation was the 32 tracks on "Elvis Forever" plus eight more, right ?

He's probably having a lie in. His carer forgot to wake him.

Did your carer wake you up and alert you to this post..."hey, Colin babe! Some cheeky bugger is using your gag".

Here are a few examples.

Have the common yellow label copy, then earlier blue label. Not managed to source the white label yet, are these from your collection Tony?

The ‘White Label’ is a good find, I remember it being advertised on TV at the time. I still have that first copy I bought at the time :D
Unfortunately not ‘White’ pressing :(

I have a feeling that the white label was just a mistake, maybe the coloured ink ran out when printing the labels and they just decided to use them anyway?

Colin B wrote:The original Arcade release was in October, 1974......RCA finally got round to issuing it themselves in 1978, but despite the pink vinyl, the cream of the sales had already been used up, & it stalled at No.40.

Technically there's more to the story.
The license that ARCADE had from RCA expired before Elvis died, and they declined to renew it.
When Elvis died they realised they'd made a mistake, but by then RCA had decided they were going to reissue it themselves, hence the 1978 RCA RE-issue.
They also issued a pink cassette version too.
I already posted it elsewhere on the forum, but I think it's worth inclusion here too.
