What a great single. Maybe their best ever, but it's so hard to tell...

The 'i' Newspaper - 14th April 2025 - The Eagle - 001.jpg

From the Internet:

Eagle_1950_issue_1_front_page.jpg

My future brother-in-law lodged in our house & he used to buy me the Mickey Mouse comic weekly.

I was 7-years-old back then.

When the Eagle comic came out, he offered to buy me that each week instead.

I couldn't face not having my usual comic, so declined the offer.

That first issue of The Eagle proved so popular with all the kids at school I changed my mind & he bought me it from the 2nd week issue !

After he married my sister & left, my Dad took over & bought it for me each week from then on for many years.

That first issue is now worth millions, right?

Well, certainly worth more than it cost back then !

Needless to say, I never kept any of them.
