I'm pretty sure that's Dorsey Burnette, but for some strange reason he is playing guitar instead of bass. They seem to be playing in front of an orchestra, so maybe they decided to switch instruments as there was already a bass player behind them. Hard to tell.
There are not many photos of the Johnny Burnette Trio, and this one is totally new to me. I have tried to improve it a little bit :

I believe the Jayne Mansfield photo shown above is reversed. She parted her hair on her left side. Here's what I think is the correct view, and another photo from the same occasion :

It had crossed my mind that it might be Dorsey but i was confused because of the person holding the guitar for which Dorsey is not known for playing. I don't know if he did play guitar after the Trio split?
Mind you, those two photos I've posted of the trio in this thread look like they Maybe newspaper clippings?
