Yes - plea bargaining is common in the US.

He must be a worried man right now.

you know what i'm thinking is the Royal Family could collapse if the Andrew allegations are found to be true.

otherwise, when her majesty the Queen passes on, there will be a referendum where the population will be asked if they want to become republic?

Hey JOHN. The answer to question 15 of your quiz is the band Hedgehoppers Anonymous. "It's Good News Week" is a 60's timeless classic that could just as easily be reworked and waxed today. I posted this on the quiz but i guess you did not see.

That may well happen before what with the ongoing controversies with Harry and Meghan and Uncle Andrew. THe UK falling in to debt (like most countries) you would think there'll come a point where many will be questioning if keeping the monarchy is economically viable.

You'll just have to be and remain patient.

I did see it. The track was produced by the despicable Jonathan King.

Many have already been questioning it for a long time. I've been questioning it for years.

Probably now given the time and context, post- brexit and hopefully soon post covid-19, will be the right time for the pollies there to raise it. Or worse case scenerio, if the UK should fall in a recession.

A UK recession isn't a 'worse case scenario'.

It's inevitable !

With the right policies in operation, we could eventually come out of it relatively unscathed.

We'd need a Labour government to achieve that...

Seriously, we don't need Labour. Just keep them away from everything. Corbyn was an idiot, and Starmer is a nincompoop.

Yeah Corbyn was. Can't comment on the new guy however.

Now in these times, why can't we see more of a bipartisan approach to get the UK out of the mess. That goes for AU as well, where here it's been one crisis after the next.

You're just looking at personalities.

Have you forgotten how the last Labour government had 11-plus years of low inflation, low unemployment, high growth, low interest rates, low child poverty, record investment in the NHS...... [the list goes on].

And it didn't need austerity & food banks to achieve that !

OK, Tony Blair dropped the ball when it came to Iraq, but the domestic situation, monitored by Gordon Brown as chancellor of the exchequer, did a marvellous job !

These achievements have been airbrushed out of the picture by the right-wing media, who have demonised both men.

For years the Tories kept on about the mess they 'inherited from Labour' - craftily neglecting to mention the world-wide recession [thanks to the US] in 2008, which preceded Labour's failure in the 2010 general election.

Yeah OK but what about the present, Colin ? In this Co-vid 19 era we're living in, what are Labour party policies such as to the unemployed, homeless and the industries and will they put aside party politics and offer bipartisan support to the government?
