Oh God, Tommy Blake. That's a great recording done at the Louisiana Hayride in 1957. It's very similar to the studio version he cut a 706 Union that same year, so it probably features the great Carl Adams on lead guitar too. That was Sun single 278.
The original of this song had recently been cut by TV Slim at Cosimo studios in New Orleans, so it was a stellar cut, but Blake and pals took the song into The Twilight Zone. The other side of that Sun single was even wilder, an original track called "Lordy Hoody" - the kind of recording only Sam Phillips could have released in mid-1957.
Bear Family compiled a fabulous CD with all of Tommy Blake's 50s recordings. Look for it - it's a must.
