Wishing you all a nice, merry and pleasant christmas

Postby alberta sheffield » Sat Dec 23, 2023 4:21 pm

I know the internet is flooded with this but still I wanted to share my wishes for you all.
For myself....well, a year like no other before....first extremely huge problems in my brother's family, than in august I experienced a health scare (got cancer diagnosed in the colon, but hopefully I managed to get my butt early enough from the oven, so to speak, had operation) and in the last 3 months my beloved mother who was always fit like a bell, driving bicycle everyday for 14 kilometers was all of a sudden almost immobile (scared me more than my own cancer diagnosis), but thanks to my research and looking out for doctors it seems she is is way on the up way with still some minor problems, but nothing compared to the pain and immobility she experienced 2 months before . Hope she is soon full back like before and her former herself.
She is now back up to 85 % like she was 5 months before (complete fit) and 100 %better than 1 months before. A X Mas wonder for me.
Hopefully my check up in 2 months will show no cancer metastases.

So, yes, what a year. A very bad one.
But the last 8 weeks were a little blessing with some of those good news which helps me to be optimistic.

Sorry for this personal post.
But i am thankful and truly from my heart I wish you health and joy.

M.
PS: if I ever stepped here on somebody's toes...I truly apologize.

Ps: I moved this year out of my earlier apartment in may before I got sick.
There was a lovely 19 year old cat called Leo which my cold hearted ex landlord never did let stay in her house besides temperatures way below the temperature in the minus grades. Freezing and all.
Since I am a cat lover I gave that cat almost every day also in the winter a home for the evening , the night until the morning.
This is a picture from last Christmas in my living room.
So, Christmas greetings from Elvis, Leo and me,

Merry Christmas to you.

Thanks John. I hope we get around too in the future. And my cancer thing.....well, I hope i managed it early enough without bad surprises in 2 months.
And my mum, well I said it already.
And I don't know if you spend your christmas with your family.
But i also hope that your problems that your daughter had in the past with her nasty ex have been sorted out and no problems there from that side.
I do hope this christmas finds you in good health and if so, that it may stay that way for a long time.

Thanks Colin, likewise to you and all members.

I have a brand new grandson born 4 weeks ago today, to add to my other two grandchildren, so this Christmas is really special. It's fantastic to have a new baby in the family.
