Nancy Sinatra - Shades (1967) (Stereo remastered)

Postby WalterHaleJnr » Tue Mar 24, 2015 2:11 pm

My latest video is from the Nancy in London album. Unfortunately all the tracks are with her voice appearing on the right channel only (in my home system anyway). Using audacity software I wanted to do this song Shades (cause it's a bloody good track, lol) and get her vocal on BOTH CHANNELS but still keep track in stereo. The first twenty seconds are what it sounds like on the album before my new mix starts. Hope you like the results -

That's a fine mix there Walter, nice job. Put in a bid to remix the whole album. I like Nancy. My favourite album by her is Country My Way.

Good on you John. I'll never understand why (as one example) reissued specialist Bear Family records doesn't do this. Mix certain recordings where the artist's voices are on one channel to both sides, BECAUSE IT CAN BE DONE !

Hell, if a mug like me can remix from a mp3, then just think for a moment what an excellent sound would be achieved by BF if they had access to (or close to) original tapes of any singer or band.

You're right. All those binaural recordings sound awful by any artist.
