I think there are more factors to it.
One of my grandparents did not drink or smoke and he died at 70.
The other one was always drunk, never saw him without smoking a cigar and he lived to be 86. He never saw a doctor until he was admitted to hospital, had surgery of his grown prostate, did not get alcohol for 10 days, walked out of the hospital and died.
Unfortunately I look more like the one that died way too early.

My granddad smoked and drank daily, but not to excess. He died in his sixties. My other granddad drank evey day and died in his sixties. Nobody directly related to me has lived to seventy. Most drank and smoked. I may as well enjoy this pint....
