This is not a conventional or easy war. They fire rockets into Israel from the roof of hospitals, mosques and hospitals.

For much less than what Hamas did the US wiped two Japanese cities off the map.

Yes, & the allies bombed countless German civilians in Dresden & Hamburg in WW2, but since then the Geneva Convention has introduced new wartime rules.

Just suppose there were some snipers on the roof of a hospital in the UK, picking off pedestrians walking by.

Should they be dealt with on a one-to-one basis, or should the whole building be blown up along with the innocent occupants ?

Sometimes a solution can be too drastic, even if it achieves the desired outcome.

Well, it's different as we are discussing a war between two different countries. In your example police or a swat team would be able to reach the UK building and get to the roof with no issues, which would not be the case in Gaza, hostile territory. If say Ireland was firing rockets into England I am pretty sure England would bomb the shit out of those buildings.

We had that situation during 'the troubles' in Northern Ireland, with the IRA bombing pubs in the UK.

We sought to track down the guilty parties & deal with them with no 'collateral' damage involving innocent civilians.

Here is my question for you:

Was the IRA the government of Ireland or just a terrorist organization putting a bomb here and there?

We are talking the government of a country firing thousands of rockets into another country, invading it to kidnap, rape and kill innocent people.

It really shows a lack of knowledge on the subject at hand to even compare the two. This is not a "5 guys put a bomb in a pub" scenario.
