I've been one for 12 years. I have two other grandchildren from another daughter.

Are you saying the 'other daughter' wasn't a 'good thing' then ?

It's 60 years today since John F Kennedy died.

I was sitting in the bath when I heard the woman from the flat downstairs call out to her husband:

"Kennedy's dead !"

I thought it would be a relative of theirs, but it was the US president, of course.

Well, I'm happy to buy the batteries, but I really wanted to go shopping with a friend.

That's a nice thought, but I'm sure I've had days with nothing good about them.

Yeah. We're in the era of cheap philosophy.

I've made no secret of my dislike of 'religions' of any kind.

This was further supported by some news out today.

There is a Jewish sect which doesn't allow any connection with the deceased [apart from family members].

The London tube station South Kensington is used by visitors to the Science Museum.

As the museum contains some human remains, members of the sect cannot use the station as it would mean 'mixing' with its visitors.

They have requested another entrance/exit, which must include a separate roof, for their members to use.

Thankfully, common sense has prevailed & the request has been denied !

Happy 1st of December everyone. The year has flown by so fast. (I think it it has) When do you all put up your Xmas? I usually do mine a few weeks before. I have noticed them going up in mid November.
Welcome to my world
