Liliane Montevecchi, R.I.P

Postby WalterHaleJnr » Sun Jul 01, 2018 4:28 am

She leaves this world aged 85. We remember her as the banana lady in the Elvis film "King Creole".

I also recall she had a memorable role in "The Young Lions" opposite Brando.

An interesting clip, but the interviewer moved quickly on before she could tell us more about her work with Elvis !

Au revoir, Liliane.

I've always loved her spot in "King Creole".

On the second post of this thread, Colin posted a photo where we see Elvis and Liliane just prior to him taking the stage with "Dixieland Rock".

That moment was cut from the movie, but we can briefly see Liliane approaching Elvis in the final cut. Just stop the image at the 13 second spot and look at the right side of the screen :

What a terrific item.

And it has the signatures of four of the movie's stars, too !
